ActivityWatch doesn't track anything on Fedora 42

Hello,
I just installed ActivityWatch on my Laptop with Fedora 42 Workstation. It wasn’t easy for me (as I just installed Linux a few days ago), but it’s working. Kind of…

I can start it and I can visit the localhost “website” but unfortunately it doesn’t track anything. Neither Firefox windows nor any apps.

I tried to find a solution via Google but couldn’t find anything. ChatGPT or similar also couldn’t help me.

What do I need to do? Where could I look next for a solution?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards!

Unfortunately we don’t have proper support for Wayland in AW for Linux yet.
There is a workaround, but it’s a bit cumbersome. You need to run the third-party awatcher watcher as well as a gnome extension to get it working.

Good luck!

Thank you! I’ll try that one!
