Hi, this is more than a good idea, it’s (almost) the law. Any use of this for data minimization, privacy, etc needs to claim data retention interval. It’s not really the law because it’s my personal data and I’m using the program so these laws don’t apply the same way. Of course.
But practically - I’m exporting the data every so often. I basically want / need to clean all the data I just exported. Or I need a retention period so I can make sure I’m not exporting an exponential amount of data. I can handle some repetition of course, but I really need a “reset data” or “retention period” or something similar.
You own the data, not ActivityWatch. You decide how long to keep it, if you want to delete the database you can do it anytime.
