So, for a lot of the popular apps, I tend to use the web apps and I was wondering, how do I categorise the website? For example, I’d like to categorise web.whatsapp.com into social media. I believe it’s something to do with the Regex rule, but I’m not sure exactly how to do it. So any help would be much appreciated!
Here’s what I’ve got at the moment…
Unfortunately categorization currently only works for titles and appnames.
Adding it for URLs however is in progress, I recently got a prototype working but it will not be ready for the next ActivityWatch release (which will hopefully be available soon). Maybe the one after that.
In the mean time you can try and see if there’s something whatsapp specific in the title when your whatsapp tab is selected.

Another workaround is to use something like this Firefox extension to add the domain to the tab title:
