I would like to suggest a feature that helps users stay focused by providing real-time warnings or notifications when they get distracted. For example, if a user spends too much time on social media or switches to a game during a work session, the system could send a gentle alert once a predefined threshold (e.g., 20 minutes) is exceeded.
This feature would be even more powerful if ActivityWatch could intelligently differentiate between productive and non-productive activities. By doing so, users would receive timely reminders only when their attention drifts toward time-wasting activities, helping them maintain focus and build healthier work habits.
Such a feature could greatly enhance ActivityWatch’s role as a productivity companion.
