I watched a movie on my laptop which was almost 90 minutes. But my AW seems to show only 15 minutes in usage time. Does it need any extra permissions or settings to track more accurately?

ActivityWatch considers you to be AFK (away from keyboard) if there is no mouse of keyboard activity.
The data will be there if you look at the timeline view, but it will not show up in the Summary page.
We have plans to do some things to improve this in the future, for example if you have a web browser open with audio playing on it we can detect that as “active” time. Another idea has been to add the ability to manually specify when you are at the computer.
