I’ve always hated this term. It assumes anyone who is not a developer is not advanced enough to use the settings. I know this is trivial, but I think it’s frankly kind of gatekeepy. I’ve definitely met developers who would probably be too lazy to care about these kinds of settings. It should just be called “advanced settings” or “experimental settings”.
The note “These settings are meant for developers” is particularly annoying. It reinforces the capitalistic narrative of having a title such as “developer” makes you more worthy. These settings are not meant for non-developer peasants like myself
