Information is very cramped and a vertical view would make event text easier to see while making use of both axes.
I feel this is especially important on mobile as zooming in is very difficult on a small horizontal plane.
I’d vote for this a million times if I could. The horizontal timeline is basically useless to me. A list view would make this exponentially more useful and easier to scan.

There’s so much vertical space left, why is everything need to be cramped horizontally…
